LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITY DOMAIN FOR MOUNT ALBERT (THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. In the second instalment of the “washing-up” bill, introduced into the House of Representatives this evening the Minister of Lands, is authorised to carry out additional reclamation works at Kohukohu and to repair the breastwork of the existing reclamation there. Expenditure in this direction is to be paid out of the Land for Settlements Accounts and lands reclaimed may be disposed of under the Land Act 1924. Authority is given in the Bill for the Mount Albert Borough Council to raise a loan of £25,000 for improvements to the Mount Albert Domain,“the proposal to be submitted to ratepayers within the Domain area. Legislation for the settlement of the dispute over one rood of land on the site of the Hobsonville airdrome is provided in this Bill, which authorises the Governor-General to issue the ‘title to the Presbyterian Church property trustees in respect to a rood of land which was to have been transferred to the trustees according to agreement with the owner before the land was taken by the Defence Department.
