RANSOM-NO REPRISALS
DEMAND BY BRIGANDS FAMILY HELD CAPTIVE By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright LONDON, Tuesday. The Tangier correspondent of the “Daily News” says that in addition to a ransom of <£16,000 demanded for the return of the kidnapped members of the family of M. Steeg, French Resi-dent-General in Morocco, the tribesmen stipulate that there shall be no reprisals for seven years. They also demand the release of ten native prisoners and a guarantee that the ransom will be paid in current coinage.—Sun.
