OUT OF TUNE
Sir.—• The cinema shows in this city are so good generally in respect of their pictorial programmes that it is a pity one of them in particular should torture the sensitive ears of its numerous patrons with discords and other excruciating orchestral blemishes. An orchestra that cannot play in tune or keep time with all its instruments is an affliction. The only entertainment to which musical imperfection has been accorded as a traditional right is a circus. Its band may be terrible without incurring the wrath of the audience. Bad music at a good picture theatre is, however, unpardonable. Can anything be done to keep Auckland’s notorious offender in tune? HARMONY.
