A QUILT PROTECTOR
It is seldom that a thoroughly useful article is decorative, too, but the quilt protector above not only keeps the edges of the best satin eiderdown from getting soiled and worn, but actually adds to the beauty of the eiderdown by its daintinfss. The pillow case can be made to match. Besides being decorative and unusual, a protector affords a practical and economical way of keeping the edges of fine satin quilts and blankets clean, and so cuts down the number of trips to the cleaners. Any good washing material can be used, though fine muslin is by far the daintiest. Good washing embroidery silk should be used for embroidering and lace that will stand laundering.
