TALK ON JAPANESE COLOUR-PRINT EXHIBITS IyrORE than 1,000 Aucklanders have seen the Japanese colour-prints show at the Art Galleries. Captain Humphreys-Davies, who, together with Mr. H. S. Dadley, placed his collection at the disposal of the Library Committee of the City Council for public exhibition, will deliver a “talk” on the exhibits to-morrow night. He will deal specially with the Oksyoye School, which period is covered by the present show. All interested are invited to attend.
Hotel Manager’s Theft.—Found guiity in the Supreme Court at Timaru yes-* terday of stealing from the Grosvenor Hotel, clothing, furniture, crockery and cash, to the total value of £122, Leonard St. Clair Thompson, late manager of the hotel, was found guilty and remanded till Thursday-for sentence.
