ACCIDENTS WILL HAPPEN
When they occur, the best plan is to ring 41-233, giving the exact locality of the accident and the nature of the injury. In response one of the Transport Officers will attend immediately in an up-to-date Ambulance, provided with every appliance to secure the comfort of the patient, and take him to the hospital or his home. When any poor person is sick, all that is requisite is to ring 41-233 and give the name and address of the patient. One of the St. John District Nurses will visit the patient and do everything possible to give relief and restore to health if this can be done. To maintain the Ambulance Transport and District Nursing Services and procure another Ambulance, which is urgently needed, the sum of £2,000 is required. Everyone is asked to send a donation to the Honorary Secretary, Ambulance Station, Rutland Street, or contribute at the Street Collection on Friday, November 4. “While we have time, let us do good to all men.” __ 21
