ORGANISING ROAD SERVICE FOR MOTORISTS
VISITOR FROM AUSTRALIA AMALGAMATION V/ITH N.S.W. \ ROAD service for motorists, similar to that organised by the Royal Automobile Association in England—that is Mr. R. Cleary’s mission to New Zealand. He arrived from Sydney by the TJlimaroa this morning l , and will tour New Zealand organising for the National Royal Motor Association of New South Wales. It is Mr. Cleary’s object to effect the amalgamation of New Zealand with the organisation he represents in Australia. ‘•I want to get your Dominion to .loin with New South Wales.’ said Mr. Cleary this morning. “We are doing good work there, and the same could be done here. We have a thoroughly organised system of sending out patrols if cars get stuck; we organise service stations: give all information regarding tourist attractions; act as guides; and give information regarding the state of the roads.” Mr. Cleary will spend some time in New Zealand meeting the vary us automobile associations.
