A VISITOR FROM THE ZOO

Sir,— Evidently from time to time the residents of Auckland living near the zoo arc to be treated to free sensations. Some time ago a leopard escaped and caused much panic, and yesterday a monkev was a frequent visitor to many of the homes in the vicinity of Garnet Road. Imagine the consternation among the mothers! Now, Sir, through the medium of your paper, I, and many others, would like to know if this sort of thing is going on, and is it the result of careleSSn6SS? A MOTHER. The monkev which escaped was, according to the zoo authorities, a youngster, and got loose when the monkeys were being transferred to the new pit. It was quite harmless.—Ed. THE SUN.
