GARAGE GOSSIP
Racing enthusiasts who remember the Straight “8" Sunbeam which Mr. C IV F Hamilton raced in the New Zealand Motor Cup at Muriwai last March, will be interested to hear that since Mr. George Henning has purchased this machine he has put it in good order, and is proposing to race it himself at Muriwai next year. Steady progress is being made with the garage being built in Newton Road, near Upper Symonds Street, for the Black and White Cabs. Ltd. This company hopes to operate in the New Year with a fleet of about 23 taxis. Incidentally, news has come through from America that these cabs are to be fitted with Buick engines in future. Mr. R. Carter, of Carter Bros., agents for Ariel motor-cycles, recently rode right through from Rotorua on an Ariel machine in six horn's. Mr. G. W. Hutchison, secretary of the Auckland Automobile Association, left on Friday last for a business trip to Brisbane. # „ The garage and general repair shop at the bottom of Parnell Rise, known as Motor Replacements. Ltd., has been bought by Mr. R. Chigwidden, automobile valuer. High Street. The alterations and enlargements to the garage of Adams, Ltd.. Albert Streets have now been completed.
