TELEPPIONE SERVICE. —The Post-master-General, Sir William MitchellThomson, announces that a telephone service is now available between all the principal provincial towns in Britain, as well as in London, and all the principal towns in Switzerland. — British Official Wireless SOLOMONS MURDERS. —A message from Tulagi Island, states that the expedition sent to seek the murderers of Messrs. Bell and Gillies, has advanced 10 miles'into the hills. It has established a base at Notastao, 3.000 ft above sea level, in a deserted village. The disaffected natives have deserted the villages and taken to the bush.—A. and N.Z. SARWAT PASHA. The Prime Minister of Egypt, Sarwat Pasha, has arrived in London from Brussels. He will on Monday resume the discussions on Anglo-Egyptian relations which were opened with Sir Austen Chamberlain on the occasion of King Fuad’s visit.—A. and N.Z. AIR SERVICES. The British Under-Secretary of State for Air, Sir Philip Sassoon, has arrived in Ottawa. He stated that the first of ths two dirigibles being built in Britain for use in inter-imperial commercial communications will be completed in two years. He hoped the maiden trip would be to Canada. —A. and N.Z.
