ALBURN I A.—The manager reports “The drive going hillward on the dropp*has been advanced from 10ft to 26ft The leader has mad? in width, it no* being 24in wide; although as yet n« gold has been seen here, both the retf and the country rock encasing it are of a good character. We have laid a fis sheet and points at the starting place o( this drive and are now in a wav to mak* good progress. The drive south on thf ‘Sons of Freedom’ reef has been extended from 7ft to 14ft. The width n the reef here continues to be about the country rock carrying a fair amount of mineral seams. At each brealdM down a few stones showing blotches erf gold are seen and from the general appearance it should make good values at any time.”
