TWO MEN COMMITTED

theft of an overcoat

ONE PLEADS GUILTY (Special to THE SUN.) MARTON, Sunday. Two men were committed to the Supreme Court yesterday, one for sentence and the other for trial on charges of breaking and entering and theft. They were George Cunningham, alias Anderson. who pleaded guilty, and John Parker, alias John Mitchell, alias Anderson Morris Anderson, alias George John Adams, who pleaded not guilty. Lurlie Mitchell, a schoolgirl, said that she saw both accused go round to the rear of a shop. One put his hand through an open window and removed an overcoat. Both went away afterwards. The story was confirmed by another schoolgirl. Constable Larmer said that when Cunningham was interrogated he admitted the offence and showed where the coat had been hidden.
