PROHIBITION IGNORED

PERSISTENT DRUNKARD “CROOK ALL THE WEEK” A prohibition order has not kept Peter O’Malley “dry.” At the Police Court to-day he admitted breaking the order for a fifth time. “I’ve been crook all the week,” he told the magistrate, “and I’m going into hospital on Tuesday.” “I’ll give it a ‘burl’ to keep right if I can go to hospital,” he added.

He was fined £ 2 for drunkenness, and for breach of his order, £5, in default 14 days’ imprisonment.
