RINKS COMPETITION There was a good muster of players on the Whangarei greens on Thursday, 12 rinks being occupied. Harrison and Kerr (s), defeated Aiiller and Orr (s), 24 — -2 2. KENSINGTON CLUB Full rinks were played on Thursday on the Kensington green, which was in fine order. Results: H. Hilford, Hayward, Cliff and Pearce (s), defeated A. Hilford, Haycock, Stringer and Courtney (s), 34 —17; F. Hilford, Barnes, Woolley and Steadman (s), defeated Campbell, Sword, Dickie and Barry (s ), 18—14; McPhee, Jack, McKay and Curtis (s), lost to Ale At a th, Cullen, Staple and Horn, 16 —20. On Thursday and Saturday next the Kensington Club will hold full-rink tourneys. , , The Hikurangi Croquet Club s opening takes place on Saturday, and a number of players and bowlers from Whangarei and Kensington Clubs will lend their presence to the gathering.
