A SAND GAME

Mark out three circles on. hard smooth sand. The first you can mark with the rim of your bucket. That will be a good guide, and leave about nine inches for the others between each circle.

You will need five big marbles or pebbles for each person, and the game is to try and get all five into the centre circle, for that counts ten each time, while the next circle only counts five, and the outer one only two. Tho player should stand about ten or twelve feet away from the outer circle and throw the pebbles one after another. Sometimes it is possible to hit one of the pebbles and move it on into a better place. That makes more fun and excitement, too. The player with the biggest score could be awarded a small prize.'
