That picture production even in U.S.A., where a world market is commanded, does not return fabulous fortunes is proved by the fact that last year the film profits in America only amounted to 2 per cent, of the capital invested. Strenuous efforts are now being made to reduce production costs by cutting down the salaries of the stars.
