PLUNKET CARNIVAL

The last stages of the royal carnival promoted in the interests of the Te Awamutu Plunket Society, have been entered upon, for the closing date is Friday, November 4.

On Thursday the first display of flags indicating the position of the various committees (computed on the basis of cash lodged with the carnival treasurer, Mr. J. G. Wynyard), was made, and each morning since at 9 o’clock, the positions have undergone slight changes. As the day of closing approaches, interest in the positions of the flags will grow, and on Friday next the grand finale will occure, the Town Hall having been secured by the general executive for that purpose.
