CHANGE IN TRUSTEES
HERBERT SMITH FUND (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, To-day. Finality, it is hoped, has been reached in connection with the dispute regarding the Herbert Smith Trust Fiind. Under this trust a sum of £IO,OOO was set aside for the promotion of athletics among young people. The trustees could not see “eye %o eye” in the interpretation of the trust and it was finally decided to appeal to the Supreme Court for an order removing one of the trustees. The court decided to relieve Mr. Frederick A. de la Mare of his duties, and Mr. Justice Herdman has now appointed Mr. Richard English, accountant, of Hamilton, to the vacant positicrrr.
