BOOTMAKER WHO WAS ALSO A BOOKMAKER
FINE OF £75 INFLICTED Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. Richard Coxon, a bootmaker, pleaded guilty in the Police Court to-day to using his premises as a common gaming house. On the occasion of a recent raid he was found to be in possession, of £SO, and records found in the shop showed that he had taken £43 in bets that morning. He also laid extensive doubles and had been previously before the court. Coxon was fined £75. Joseph Martin aged 43, was fined £lO for assisting him.
