TRIALS OF OARSMEN ROWING AT ST. GEORGE’S “Is anyone in a position to say whether we will get any rowing this year?" asked Mr. A. Porter, at the St. George’s Rowing Club’s annual meeting last night, voicing the general anxiety created among members by the closing of Judge’s Bay. The questioner was reassured by others present, Mr. K. D. Page (captain) stating that rowing had been carried on from the shed during the week. The captain further explained that there were two hours at low water when they could not get boats out of the bay, which has been closed by the railway embankment, but otherwise they were experiencing no trouble. However, they wanted the old hands to rally round, so that there would be no rowing lost. When the site for a new clubhouse was under discussion Mr. V.
