The Fianna Fail Party has drafted Bills proposing to repeal the Public Safety Act and the Local Government Act. 1925, and requiring officials of local authorities on their appointment or on receiving increases of salary to sign a declaration of allegiance to the Free State Government and the Constitution. The Labour members will probably support Mr. De Valera, and In any case the divisions will test the strength of the Government. —A. and N.Z.
