ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND
Both Bowley and Langridge, who arrived at Wellington on Tuesday evening by the Corinthic, stepped off the Limited express at Auckland this morning. Mrs. Bowley also accompanies her husband, this being her first visit to New Zealand. Chatting to a SUN man. Langridge said that his colleague, Bowley, had just finished one of his most successful seasons in England, having cone into the limelight not only as a bat but as an all-rounder. He considered that county cricket in England had nowreached its pre-war standard, and the New Zealand team proved itself to ho quite up to the standard of the counties at Home.
