FRACTURED SKULL IN FALL DOWN STAIRS

WIDOWER’S DEATH Press Association. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Admitted to the hospital suffering from a fracture of the skull at 5 p.m., to-day, Mr. Joseph Harvey, a waterside worker, died at 5.55 p.m. Deceased had been found unconscious at the foot of the stairs at the board-ing-house where he lived, his head having come in violent contact with the concrete floor. The position of the body indicated that deceased had overbalanced when walking up the stairs. None of the other occupants of the boarding-house witnessed the accident, which occurred between 4 and 4.30 p.m. Deceased was between 45 and 50 years of age and was a widower. He leaves | a daughter, who it is believed, lives lin Christchurch.
