LABOUR DAY SPORTS AT WAIHI
AUCKLAND CYCLIST WINS FAST TIMES RECORDED (Frotn Our Own Correspondent) WAIHI, Tuesday. The Waihi Athletic and Cycling Club sports were held in the Recreation Ground on Monday in showery weather. The track was in splendid condition and some fast times were recorded. Hayes, the well-known Auckland rider, won both the two and three miles cycling events and received a great ovation for his welljudged riding. Results: Novice Handicap, 100 Yards. —T. Black, _1; J- C.
