TRAINED NURSES’ STATE BALL
SUCCESSFUL EVENING Last evening the Nurses’ Home was the scene of a gay and successful dance, when the trained nurses of the Auckland Hospital held their state ball. Shaded lights and clusters of balloons suspended from the ceiling of the dance hall added to the gaiety of the evening. Among those present were: Mrs. A. W. gette; Mrs. Gould, emerald green georgette gown; Mrs. Spedding, spring green georgette frock; Mrs. Fairciougn, fuchsia georgette frock, with fur hem. Miss Pugh, frock of ivory beaded crepe de chine; Miss Short, dove grey beaded georgette gown over pink; Miss Taylor, black georgette gown; Miss Sutherland. mauve georgette frock; Miss Dunnet, frock of silver lace and flame georgette; Miss Cooper, willow green sequined frock; Miss Gilchrist, frock of lavender taffetas and silver lace; Miss Mitchell, cream lace frock over pink satin; Miss Elder, wisteria georgette gown, with silver lace bodice; Miss A. Speedy, frock of delphinium blue georgette, heavily i beaded in silver: Miss M. Speedy, hyacinth taffetas gown; Miss Dobson. Nile green sequined georgette gown; Miss Grensade, black sequined frock: Miss Leece, frock of apricot silk marocain; Miss Potto, black panne velvet gown; Miss Burke, black satin frock: Miss Pwobson, shell pink georgette Crock, beaded in silver: Miss A.
