POWER BOARD NOTICES W AITEMATA ELECTRIC - BOARD. POWER In the matter of the ' Electric-Power Boards Act. 1925.” the "Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.” the "Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,” and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectivelv, the WAITEMATA ELECTRICPOWER BOARD, a body corporate duly constituted under the provisions of the "Electric-Power Boards Act. 1925," hereby gives notice in terms of the "Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” that they propose to raise a Special Loan of £SO,OOu (eighty thousand pounds) for the following purposes:— (a) For the purpose of purchasing, constructing and providing Electric Works as defined in the “ElectricJPower Boards Act, 1925,” in order to supply and to extend the supply of electricity within the whole of the Waitemata Electric-Power District, and for providing funds for the purposes mentioned tinder Section 118 of the said Act. (Section 118 authorises the Board to install motors, electric wires, electric lamps and other fittings and equipment in public or private buildings, works, dwellings and other places and to accept payment therefor by instalments.) (b) For the purpose of securing the repayment of the said Special Loan a special annually recurring rate of 9/64 th (nine sixty-fourths) of a penny in the £ will be made and levied upon the ratable value of all ratable property within the whole of the Waitemata Power District. (c) It is proposed to make such loan repayable in (thirty-six and one-half) years, and to make provision for the repayment thei*eof by a sinking fund of 1 p.c. (one per centum) per annum. (d) It is proposed to pay out of the loan moneys the first year’s interest, but not the cost of raising the Loan. Dated this 19th day of October, 1927. J. W. HAYDEN, Chairman. A. The vote of any ratepayer may be recorded at any polling booth within the Waitemata Electric Power District, irrespective of the location of the ratable propertv in respect .of which the ratepayer is entitled to vote, also at the booth at the Board’s office, SI Albert Street, Auckland. “Ratepayer” as defined in the “ElectricPower Boards Act, 1925,” means a person whose name appears for the time being, in the occupier’s column in the valuation roll. Where the ratable property is in the name of the husband, the wife is not entitled to vote, and vice versa. The above places are specially appointed as polling ulaces under sub-sec-tion (3) of Section 51 of the “Eleoti'icPower Boards Act, 1925.” A. MAIN. Returning Officer. W AITEMATA ELECTRIC BOARD.
