WHANGAREI REGATTA ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL MEETING (From Our Oicn Correspondent) WHANGAREI, Monday. A credit balance of £ 4 was reported at the annual meeting of Whangarei Regatta Association. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. W. Jones, M.P.; president, Mr. H. G. Menzies; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. D. Weir, A. H. Curtis; secretary, Mr. C. D. Moloney (pro. tem.); treasurer, Mr. R. Dempster (pro. tem.); auditor, Mr. W. A. M. Bain. After an exhaustive discussion it was resolved to hold a regatta as usual on January 2, the prize-money being fixed at £ 100. A committee was elected to prepare the programme. Messrs. W. Wilkinson and H. E. He win were appointed representatives, in Auckland and Russell respectively. It was decided that Mr. Moloney should be paid a small honorarium in recognition of his valuable services.
