A.A.A. ACTIVITIES
It is not generally known that A.A.A. members provide motor outings occasionally for the children in the public hospital. Several members have rendered splendid service at this work in the past, but more helpers are required. The sick children enjoy these outings immensely and one is rewarded by their happy smiles and the increased glow of health in their cheeks. If anyone is able to help in this work by occasionally lending their car on week-day afternoons, they are asked to send their names in to the secretary. The proposal has been made to hold a gymkhana at Papakura on December 3, to celebrate the completion of the concrete road between Papakura and Auckland. Dr. La wry, the president of the A.A.A., made the suggestion at the 5,000 membership social last week that another social be held when the 10,000 mark is reached. He pointed out that if within the next year every member told a friend of the free legal defence, free insurance and free holiday tripplanning, the social could be held in a few months.
