A Gown of Silver Lace Chosen By Bride

Lavender and Wildrose for Her Attendants WALLEN—HOLDER Silver lace fashioned with delicate charm the slender little frock worn by Myrtle Margaretta Holder, the elder daughter of M.rs. J. W. Mclntyre, of Sea View Avenue, "Whangarei. for her marriage last Thursday at the Catholic Presbytery, Whangarei, to David Malvern Wallen, of Howick. Auckland. The two maids who attended her wore dainty frocks of wild rose and lavender lace and georgette. Over the bride’s gown soft folds of tulle fell like a train from her pretty chaplet of orange blossoms, while the dainty white shower bouquet she carried struck a final note of charm in her toilette. Miss Edith Hughes, of Hamilton, cousin of the bride, acted as chief bridesmaid, wearing an attractive frock of wildrose tinted satin prettily veiled with lace, and a picture hat of rose pink crinoline and georgette. She carried a charming bouquet to tone. Little Miss Moira Mclntyre, sister of the bride, was flower girl, and wore a sweetly pretty frock of lavender georgette over rose pink. With her dainty little frock she wore a quaint bonnet of tulle and carried a lavender and rose bouquet. The marriage service was conducted by the Rev. Father Campbell. The bride was given away by her stepfather and the bridegroom was attended by Mr. Frank Bradley as best man. After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Mclntyre entertained a few friends at their residence, “Castlereagh.” Toasts were honoured in happy vein, and good wishes extended to Mr. and Mrs. Wallen, who later left by express for the South. The bride travelled in a fawn tailored costume, with smart beige hat. The bridegroom’s gift was a beautiful necklace of pearls, and to the* bridesmaids he presented gold armlets.
