MOTOR-CAR CAPSIZES
DRIVER’S HAND INJURED While proceeding from Auckland to Hamilton at about 6.40 p.m. on Saturday evening, a car driven by Mr. Wm. Bond, who was accompanied by Mr. Gimblett and two ladies, ran into a portion of the road loosely metalled at Rangiriri. The car swerved, and turned completely over. Mr. Bond was pinned by the hand, severely cut, and received bad shoulder bruises. He was removed to the Huntlv Hospital, where it was found necessary to amputate the thumb on his right hand. The other occupants of the car escaped with a bad shaking and shock, and the car was not seriously damaged.
