KING COUNTRY GUN CLUB

GOOD SPORT ENJOYED The King Country Gun Club recently held a very successful shoot on the property of Mr. and Mrs. T. Crocker. There was a large attendance and a good day’s sport enjoyed. The results were:—Sweepstake, 12 competitors: I. Rutherford (4 breaks), 1; H. Shires, G. Geary, A. Davey, J. Waldegrave, K. Southey, T. McFadyen and T. Bowler all tied with three breaks. After expending three rounds on a “shoot-off,” it was resolved to divide the second prize, to save ammunition. Karam trophy (outright win), and the Geary silver cup for most points in the two shoots: I. Rutherford, 1; T. Bowler, 2; H. Shires, 3; T. McFadyen.
