RIFLE SHOOTING

CITY AND SUBURBAN CLUB

The third shoot of the first series for which trophies have been donated by Messrs. J. B. Johnston and A. <l. Poison was fired at Penrose on Saturday at 500 and 600 yards, the weather conditions being good. Competition was again very keen and spoons were won by Rifleman W. H. Thompson and T. Spry in their respective classes. The scores are: A GRADE

Trophy points have been won by Pieterson 5, Bring J. Thompson J. 1 atrirk 2. Russell 2. Watson 1 and Hughes 1 in the seniors, and Spry 5. A. R. Praser 3. Cousins 3. 1.. F. Verrall o, W itt 21,. F. Fraser 1 and 11. Matthews 1 in the juniors, with one shoot to go at SOO and !)00 yards next Saturday. which leaves the final results in a’ very interesting position.
