N.Z. Mail Stolen
REGISTERED LETTERS MISSING FROM STEAMER By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 9.36 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. j On the arrival in Australia of the j steamer Cathay, it was found that \ some registered mail was stolen. It is considered that the thieves j made a good haul. The Postal Department considers that the robbery was committed by experts, but it has yet to be ascertained whether they worked aboard the liner or before the mails were shipped at Marseilles. It is reported that New Zealand mail was included in part of what was stolen.—-A. and N.Z.
