Mr* C. Collins, of Christchurch, arrived by the Limited this morning on £ holiday visit to Auckland. Miss Phyllis Orr, of Wiri, recently returned from Norfolk Island, where she has been spending a holiday. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Colbeck, who have beep visiting Australia, returned to Auckland to-day by the Aorangi. Mr. C. R. Dunkerley arrived in Auckland to-day by the Aorangi. He travelled from England via Sydney. Mr. A. H. Miles, 0.8. E., manager of Murray, Roberts and Company, of Wellington, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. A. Whitley, chief representative of Sir W. G. Armstrong. Whitworth, Ltd., left Wellington for Auckland la?t evening. Mr. S. S. Lean, chairman of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. A. X. Graham, of Sydney, arrived by the Aorangi to-day, and is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Kric Ramsden, Studio Flats, Eden Crescent. Madame Frances Alda, who has been making a short, stay at Rotorua, will join the Aorangi to-morrow in Auckland on her return to America. The Rev. Jasper Calder and Mrs. Calder, who have been visiting New South Wales and Queensland, were passengers by the Aorangi from Sydney to-day. Mr. Fred Heider, the comedian, and Mrs. Heider, are passengers to Honolulu by the Aorangi. Mr. Heider was in the cast of “Sunny” for the original Australian production. Dr. and Mrs. Addison, of Maitland, New South Wales, arrived in Auckland by the Aorangi from Sydney today. They propose to tour *he North Island. Mr. and Mrs. liichard Brown, of Sydney, arrived by the Aorangi, and are staying at the Grand Hotel. They will leave for Rotorua toward the end of the week.
Mrs. Gravestock arrived in Auckland this morning by the Aorangi to join her husband, Mr. E. J. Gravestock,* the entrepenuer. They will travel by the Aorangi to-morrow, en route to the United States. Mr. H. R. Burton, president of the Federated Master Bakers of Australia, arrived by the Aorangi from Sydney to-day to attend the Bakers’ Conference In Rotorua. Another arrival for the conference was Mr. R. Robbins, secretary of the Victoria section of the Federation. Mr. Justice Stringer, who has concluded his term as Judge of the Supreme Court, and who is to retire on November 3, left for the south on Friday evening to attend sittings of the War Pensions Appeal Board in Christchurch and Lunedin.
