TEACHERS’ PROSPECTS IN HAWKE’S BAY

UNEMPLOYMENT PROBABLE Press Association. NAPIER, Friday. The probability of unemployment in the ranks of school teachers in Hawke’s Bay next year was discussed at a meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Education Board to-day. The secretary, Mr. W. E. Dunn, said over 40 teachers in that district would be unable to obtain positions from February 1, 1928. This would be about double the number who could not obtain permanent positions at the beginning of 1927. The position looked like being general throughout New Zealand.
