A UCKLAND EDUCATION BOARD. ENTRANCE TO TEACHING SERVICE. Applications for employment as Probationer should be forwarded to the Board not later than November 15. Minimum educational qualification: Pass for University Matriculation Examination or Group I of Teachers’ D Certificate Examination, Lower Leaving Certificate, or equivalent qualification. Forms of application are obtainable at the Office of the Board. Applicants who are not yet qualified but are sitting for the Matriculation Examination in December next must forward their applications for employment now. Their examination successes will be credited to them on publication of the results in January. The Education Department, Wellington, notifies that no students can be admitted to the Auckland Training College next year under Division B of the Regulations. University graduates may, however, be admitted under Division C. Applications for admission should be made not later than November 15, on forms obtainable at the Office of the Board. The Board will arrange for the Senior Inspector to interview and the School Medical Officers to examine all candidates who are now attending secondary schools, technical or district high schools or the University College.
