INTRUDER LEAVES HURRIEDLY WITH PURSE

ST. STEPHEN’S AVENUE BREAK Last evening at about 8 o’clock the home of Mr. J. N. Rishworth, 46 St. Stephen’s Avenue, Parnell, was broken into, but fortunately the intruder was disturbed before he could do much damage. Mr. E. S. Rishworth heard a noise in his sister’s bedroom, hut he did not investigate. Later in the evening a telephone message was received to saythat Miss Rishworth’s purse had been picked up in the avenue. It had contained about 10s in silver and two theatre tickets. The thief had evidently entered the room and left it when he heard that someone was in the house.
