FEILDING STOCK VALUES
Press Association. FEILDING, Friday. At the Feilding stock sale to-day an average yarding of fat sheep sold on a par with last week’s rates, shorn wethers being a shade firmer. Very few store sheep were offered, and these sold at late rates. Fat woolly ewes made 27s lid to 30s; fat shorn ewes, 18s to 225; fat shorn maiden ewes, 23s 7d to 25s 9d; fat shorn wethers, 25s 4d to 28s lid; fat shorn hoggets, 27s 8d; failing-mouth ewes with 10 per cent, good lambs, 335; shorn empty ewes, 16s 2d; woolly empty ewes, 13s 9d to 20s 3d. A fair entry of cattle was offered. Dairy cattle met with a good sale. Fat cattle were also in good demand, but stores met with a dull sale, all the larger lines being passed in. Good fat bullocks made £lO 3s 6d to £lO 13s Gd; good fat cows, £6 17s 6d to £S 10s; light fat cows, £5 5s to £5 15s; extra prime heifers, £7 6s to £S; twoyear Aberdeen Angus heifers, £4 10s 6d; Aberdeen Angus yearlings steers, £3 19s 6d; three-year empty Hereford heifers, £4 7s 6d; good springing Jersey heifers, £8 to £11; medium heifers, £5 to £7; Jersey-cross heifers, £3 10s to £5; springing cows, £7 7s 6d; pedigree yearling Jersey bulls, 113 guineas to 14 guineas.
