ON THE ’CHANGE

TARANAKI OILS FIRMER MINING QUIET Business on ’Change continues; healthy, though sales at this end are limited. The improvement in Commercial Banks continues, and a sale was recorded this morning at 28s 6d. New South Wales have fallen back again to see sellers at £44 10s and buyers offering £43 17s 6d. Other banks are firm. A strong tone is registered in coals. Pukemiros have firm buyers in at 595. Waipas are weaker. In miscellaneous Auckland Amusement Parks have firmed, but, though business has been done in the South at 16s 6d, there is still an appreciable margin between buyers’ and sellers’ quotations on the Auckland ’Change. Taranaki Oils also moved up this morning. Mining is quiet, but a steady demand is registered for several parcels of shares. In gilt-edged securities, Government bonds and stocks are well supported with the market firm at late quotations. SALES REGISTERED Yesterday afternoon: Reported.— Ohinemuri, 6s 6d.
