Wheat remains very firm in the South, and traders are making little out of the business at Ss 6d a bushel ex stote. Poultrykeepers are falling back to a great extend on maize and barley. A good seasonal demand is being experienced for chick foods, hulled oat«, and meals. Clipped Chevalier barley is not meeting with the demand that could be expected. and the price ex store is in the vicinity of 5s 9d.
