83 NOT OUT!

COUTH AUSTRALIA possesses a remarkable old man named O. H igginbottom, who has such a keen love for cricket that, at the age of 83 years, he is still eager for a game. Only a few weeks ago he figured in a match at Kapunda, and distinctly showed that age does not wither by securing two wickets for nine runs. Until two years ago Mr. Higginbottom was a regular player for Payneham, with which he has been associated for 44 years. He has been playing the game ever since he was 14 years of age. This hardy old warrior still adheres to the underarm style of bowling, and, when batting, he never wears pads, as he says they hamper him from running!
