New Road Opened. —The Pekapek iWairau Roads section of the Paero iPokeno main highway, near Kerepeehi. Hauraki Plains County, has now r>e?n opened for traffic, the clay surface having been disced and graded. Formation work is now being undertaken in preparation for metalling. The opening of this section of the highway obviates a deviation of several miles. The Ngatea-Kaihere Road is also open tor traffic, and communication between the northern and southern portion of the county is now assured for the summer.
