CYCLING IMPASSE IN CHRISTCHURCH
CENTRE’S DETERMINATION (Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. “We are determined that the riders are not going to dictate to the centre,” said Mr. W. J. Walter, president of the North Canterbury Centre of the New' Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union, last evening, after a special meeting of the executive, held to consider the dispute that has cropped up between the centre and the Christchurch Cycling and Athletic Club. Mr. Walter added that if the riders wero allowed to dictate to the centre, racing would be held up at any moment, and the sport would be killed.
