YOUTHFUL ATHLETES IN ACTION ON DOMAIN CRICKET GROUND THE annual athletic sports of the Auckland Grammar School opened under splendid conditions on the Domain Cricket Ground this morning. A large assembly of scholars, parents and friends witnessed the closely-contested events. In the Maiden 100 Yards Race Munro won in the splendid time of 10 3-ssec, breaking -the record by l-ssec, and in the small boys’ race Dick broke the record of 12 2-ssec by 2-ssec. Open Handicap, 440 Yards. —Brooking 1, Ramsay 2, Kenny 3. Time: 54 1-5. Open Championship, 880 Yards.—Garlick and lnnes dead heat 1, Chappell 3. Time, 2.9 2-5.
