DAVIS CUP MORAL
THE one important lesson of the challenge round of the Davis Cup in which France triumphed over the United States, is that international sport, in the main, is for youth. Tilden is 34 and Johnston 33 years of age. The Frenchmen are youths by comparison. Henri Cochet, of Lyons, is 26 years of age. He came to the front as the covered court champion of France, and has had a brilliant career. Rene Lacoste’s success against the Americans stamps him as one of the finest players ever known. He is 23 years old.
