MILITARY OBJECTOR
MINISTER CONCURS WITH S.M.’S DECISION

WELLINGTON, Wednesday. E MINISTER OF JUSTICE has concurred with the decision of the Auckland Magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, who refused the youth, Alan Morgan Richards, exemption from military training on the ground of reiigious objection.
The Minister considers that the magistrate has adopted the principle laid down in previous cases of this kind, and he considered it the only practicable way of administering the statute. He refused to entertain a request by Mr. J. A. Lee that the statute should be altered.
