ORANGE BLOSSOMS
LONG—REID A pretty wedding took place last evening at St. Alatthew’s Church, when Alargaret Elizabeth, the daughter of Mrs. L. Reid, of Ponsonby, was married by Canon Grant Cowen to Geoffrey Thomas, the second son of Air. and Mrs. G. L. Long, of Avondale. The bride was given away by her brother, Air. James Reid, and the bridegroom was attended by Air. Charles Howie as best man. The bridal frock was daintily made of vellum tinted georgette and round the hem a stencilled design of silver roses lent a pretty finish. An effectively embroidered tulle veil was arranged from a chaplet of orange blossoms to form a simple train. The bride carried a bouquet of white and faint pink flowers. Two bridesmaids attended the bride, the Alisses Alyrtle Wood and Ivy Long, wearing attractive frocks of peach tinted and powder blue georgette respectively. Their frocks were simply fashioned and were worn with hats of French grey crinoline straw trimmed with ribbon in tones matching their frocks. They each carried a pretty bouquet.
