Rabbi Opposes Bible in Schools.— The Jewish Rabbi, the Rev. H. Van Staveren, gave evidence before the Bible in Schools Committee in "Wellington to-day that he is opposed to the Bill, but not to the Nelson system. The evidence of the Director of Induration, Mr. T. B. Strong, will be taken this afternoon. —Press Association.
