Eight girders have reached Otoro hanga and have been taken out in miles, for the bridge across the Mcakn rurua River, which when erected will !m the connecting link between Otorn hanga and the South Kawhia Harl hour, with a road distance of 26 milt." Each girder weighs two and a-qualrtw tons. .-—iff
The road, although onlv metalled 1C miles out. will be a good summer rout, to the Southern reaches of the Kawhia Harbour.
