DEATH ENDS YEAR IN HOSPITAL

ACCIDENT WHILE MOTORING

( F'rotn Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, To-day. After lingering for nearly 12 months in the Waikato Hospital with a fractured spine, Roland Hooten, aged 24, died last night. His case was a sad one and had pathetic features associated with it. He had just been married and was on a honeymoon when the car, driven by his wife, ran up a bank and upset. Mr. Hooten receiving severe injuries. Since then his wife has been practically a daily visitor to the hospital, and patiently helped to beguile his weary hours. Tragedy descended, however, and his injuries ended fatally. Deceased was an engineer, of Putaruru.
